1. Who We Are

VaiVi is an AI-powered clinical simulation platform for medical students, interns, residents, and licensed physicians, operated by VAIVI EDU, headquartered in Hyderabad, Telangana, India.

2. Information We Collect

• Account information: your email address, and — if you sign in with Google — your name and profile photo
• Academic/professional profile: role, specialty, college, workplace, and location details you provide during setup
• Clinical performance data: your case history, scores, and flashcard progress within simulations
• A device identifier, used only to enforce single-device sign-in
• Payment information processed during checkout (see Section 5)
• Crash and diagnostic data if the app encounters an error

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information above to operate your account, generate and evaluate clinical simulations, track your learning progress, process subscription payments, send service notifications (such as streak reminders or flashcard due-dates), and maintain the security of the platform.

4. AI Processing

Case inputs you submit during a simulation are processed by our AI engine to generate scenarios and feedback. As with all content on VaiVi, never enter real patient information — inputs are for training purposes only and may be used to help improve the accuracy of our AI models.

5. Payment Information

Subscription payments are processed securely by our payment partner, Razorpay. VaiVi does not store your full card or bank details — payment credentials are handled directly by Razorpay's own secure checkout.

6. Data Sharing & Third-Party Services

We never sell your personal data. We share information only with the service providers that operate the platform on our behalf:

• Google Firebase — authentication, database, cloud functions, crash reporting, and push notifications
• Google Cloud / Gemini — processing of case inputs to generate AI simulations and feedback
• Razorpay — payment processing for subscriptions

Anonymised, aggregate data may be used for research or product improvement. We do not share individual performance data with third parties.

7. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you request deletion, your account and associated data are removed following a short grace period, except for records we're required to retain for accounting, tax, or legal purposes (such as invoices and payment records).

8. Your Rights & Account Deletion

You can review, correct, or delete your data at any time.

• If you're signed in, go to Profile → Privacy & Security in the app to request account deletion directly.
• If you can't sign in, or no longer have the app installed, you can request deletion without logging in at delete-account.html.

Account deletion is permanent and irreversible once processed.

9. Eligibility & Children's Privacy

VaiVi is intended for medical students, interns, residents, and licensed physicians aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

10. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards — including encrypted connections, access controls, and Firebase App Check — to protect your data against unauthorised access. No system is perfectly secure, and we continually work to improve our safeguards.

11. Compliance

VaiVi complies with India's IT Act 2000, the IT (Amendment) Act 2008, and the Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act 2023. Users in the European Union have additional rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (EU 2016/679).

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified via in-app notification or email. Continued use of VaiVi after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
